Andy is backing Moyes to outwit Mancini
Andy Gray / 15 January 2010 Free Bet
Liverpool's dramatic FA Cup exit has left them with just Premier League honours to play for and there'll be nowhere for Rafa Benitez to hide in the cauldron of passion that is the Britannia. That match kicks off an action-packed Saturday afternoon in the Premier League that also features Man City's toughest test yet under Roberto Mancini.
Stoke v Liverpool
This match could once again revolve around the big question that has plagued Liverpool for the past three seasons: can they cope without Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres? Both came off injured in their shock exit at the hands of Reading in the FA Cup and without them, a Liverpool side who are rock-bottom in terms of confidence, could really struggle. That said, Stoke aren't quite the force they were last season at home. The three goals they scored against Fulham were a bit of a surprise to me as they've struggled in attack for most of the season.
Recommended Bet: Back 1-1 at [7.4].
Everton v Man City
My old club is getting better and better as the season goes on and the likes of Phil Neville, Leon Osman and Steven Pienaar returning from injury is a big factor behind that; they should really have beaten Arsenal last weekend. I like Manchester City a lot, Roberto Mancini has been superb since he's come in and they're the side who are coming into this match on the back of four straight wins. But Everton will be a tougher proposition to anything they've faced since Mancini's arrival and I fancy the home side to come out on top here in a close one.
Recommended Bet: Back 2-1 Everton at [11.0].
Barcelona v Sevilla
Barca will be disappointed about going out of the cup in midweek but I feel that will spur them on even more when Sevilla come to town in the league. I wasn't sure about Zlatan Ibrahimovic's arrival at the Nou Camp as I'm a huge Samuel Eto'o fan but the giant Swede has done well. He's not as quick as Eto'o but he's more skilful and better in the air and could turn out to be a real favourite at the club.
Recommended Bet: Back Barcelona to win both halves at [2.1].
Chelsea v Sunderland
The league leaders will be too strong for a side with a poor away record.
Recommended Bet: 3-1 at [13.0].
Man Utd v Burnley
Sir Alex Ferguson is still seething from their FA Cup exit to Leeds and someone has to pay sooner or later.
Recommended Bet: 3-0 at [7.8].
Portsmouth v Birmingham
There aren't many goals when Birmingham are in action these days whilst Pompey will take anything they can get.
Recommended Bet: 0-0 at [9.8].
Tottenham v Hull
If Spurs want to be challenging for a top four finish they need to be winning these ones comfortably.
Recommended Bet: 2-0 at [7.0].
Wolverhampton v Wigan
Wolves need to beat the likes of Wigan at home if they're to stay up; I think they will.
Recommended Bet: 2-1 at [11.0].
