No Gray Areas: Resurgent City won't make the top three
Andy Gray / 15 January 2010 Free Bet
If we were to nit-pick, we could argue that Manchester City's four matches since Roberto Mancini arrived weren't the toughest.
But the truth is he's won the lot, and in pretty convincing fashion. Make no mistake about it, this is an excellent squad which now appears to have more belief than they did under Mark Hughes.
Add to the equation an organised defence where everyone knows their jobs, a fit-again Martin Petrov and, in Carlos Tevez, a player who can't stop scoring, and we're talking about an extremely dangerous side.
With a new manager at the club, everyone needs to prove themselves once again so there will be no room for complacency amongst players who always started under Hughes.
Despite all this, it may be a season too soon for them and they may end up paying for all those draws under Hughes come May. I'd be laying them for a top-three finish at [3.35].
Disagree with Andy? Fancy City to sneak into third place this season? You can back them at [3.45] to do so. Let us know what you think in the comments section below...
