Adam Scott was available at almost twice the odds Dan was expecting - and that equals a bet!

Well I was on Rickie Fowler and Michael Sim a week early, they both made a run at the title on Sunday and Sim will have some sleepless nights after choosing to lay up on the 18th. Jason Day had a disappointing time on the greens, Phil Mickelson may have had old Ping wedges on his mind as he faded on Sunday and Ernie played some great golf, finishing a never nearer fifth.

Scott had a torrid time for much of last year, but after putting in the hours he bounced back in Australia when beating a field that included the in-form Sim and Stuart Appleby among others. In my opinion he's done enough to prove he's worth another chance this year and at a tournament that he's won before and has a great record at he's a must bet here.
Another player with a good record in this event is KJ Choi. After a number of great years Choi had an extremely disappointing 2009, but he finished third here last year and a good effort last week at Torrey Pines (finished 15th) may signal a return to form.
I'm wary of last weeks selections coming back to haunt me so beware of Phil Mickelson who is sure to be thereabouts again (be ready to trade!) and I'm giving Ernie Els another chance after a solid top-five last week. Ernie has commited to the PGA tour this year and I'm sure the routine will help his results. Els is heading to Riviera early and he's sounding confident - "Riviera is one of my favourite golf courses in America. With my confidence on the up and my game in good shape, I can't wait to tee it up".
