Cheltenham 1:30 - Win and Place Back - Kandari
The County Hurdle looks as difficult to solve as ever but Kandari is one of the least exposed runner's in the field and has a great chance of getting into the money at least. Noel Meade's son of Kahyasi has done little wrong over hurdles, winning a maiden at Gowran before finishing a very close sixth in a fiercely-competitive handicap at Leopardstown. He won twice on good ground on the Flat in France and the drying conditions are sure to see him in a better light here.
Cheltenham 3:20 - Win Back - The Midnight Club
The Irish novice hurdling division is very strong at the moment and we appear to have a strong hand in the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle. The Midnight Club is a much bigger price than his form deserves and has a real chance of giving Willie Mullins another winner. He is unbeaten this season, winning a bumper and twice over hurdles, and the form of all three races has worked out really well. The drying ground is a slight concern but a look at his pedigree suggests that he should handle it and Emmet Mullins knows him well having ridden him to both his hurdles victories.
Cheltenham 4:00 - Place Lay - Neptune Collonges
It is easy to pick holes in the form of all the leading contenders in the Gold Cup and Neptune Collonges looks the one to take on. He finished third in the race last year but, on paper at least, this looks a more competitive renewal and he may miss out on the placings this time around. It is a surprise to see him almost half the price of Exotic Dancer and the likes of Barber Shop and Madison du Berlais are others with obvious place claims.
