Woodland Traveller was friendless in the market at Downpatrick last-time-out and went off at [34.0] on Betfair - but he showed plenty of spirit and won by a short-head in the end. His trainer Gilligan has already seen the winners' enclosure at Galway this week, and his gelding may just have enough to keep the Mullins/Walsh team at bay.

15:10 - William Hill 1800 333 555 Handicap

Charleville is the big priced outsider in the early markets but I think he's in with a fighting chance at these weights. I'll admit that he was frustrating to follow in the past, and we haven't seen the four-year-old since he finished mid-way down the field in a Tramore maiden back in October. However, they've been doing good work with him at home and his price is just too high for me to ignore.

15:45 - Williamhill.com-casino (q.r.) Maiden

The price won't be great, but the Mullins team are hard to oppose with Blackstairmountain. He was very smart when winning a couple of bumpers and ran a good second to Drive Time at Leopardstown last-time-out. Miss Chaparral is an obvious threat but my ratings have Blackstairmountain a couple of pounds clear under today's conditions.
