Tony McCoy has declared that he will ride Butlers Cabin in the 2009 Grand National. Betfair customers have reacted to the news and the price of the nine-year-old is now in to [9.8], having traded at [11.0] on Wednesday. McCoy will be keen to atone for his fall on the horse last year, and told the press that his decision to pick Butlers Cabin over L'Ami was one of the hardest of his riding career:

"I've ridden both horse in the National before, and it was very hard to split them...Butler's Cabin seemed to be coming back to form at Cheltenham and L'Ami has been revitalised this season by cross-country racing. One is 10-1 shot, the other was a 50-1 shot last week but for me there is very little between them."
