Dundalk 3:40 - Place Lay - The Mighty Atom

The Mighty Atom comes into this on the back of a seemingly creditable second to Laldie at Naas, but that was a muddling contest and the bare form is worth treating with caution. Prior to that Tracey Collins's filly had been well beaten off a mark of 69 in a handicap here and she looks exposed as being below the level required to win a maiden. Gala Spirit and The Grey Rebel are both open to improvement and Dermot Weld's newcomer, Confidence, wouldn't need to be anything out of the ordinary to run into a place.

Dundalk 4:40 - Win Back - Minsky Mine

This looks a reasonable maiden for the track/time of year with six of the nine runners having already been placed in similar events. Seven Summits is sure to have his supporters following his narrow defeat at Tipperary last time but preference is for Minsky Mine who was unlucky to bump into an above-average sort in Rain Forest at Navan in April. The fact that he has blinkers on here is of no great concern and this well-bred sort looks sure to improve.

Killarney 7:00 - Place Lay - Rockin N Reelin

Rockin N Reelin simply has to be taken on under a 5 lb penalty here having "stolen" a handicap at Gowran last Friday evening. He was given a particularly enterprising ride by Chris Hayes, soon establishing a commanding advantage (around 15 lengths clear at halfway) and was in no danger of getting caught from some way out. That form is head and shoulders better than anything else he has achieved and he has yet to conclusively prove that he stays this far.

Killarney 8:30 - Win Back - Riverstown

Riverstown really caught the eye last time, staying on well under hands and heels to finish a never-nearer third to Abbey Lane (winner again since) at Gowran, and will be hard to beat in this run-of-the-mill maiden. This longer trip looks sure to draw further improvement from the son of Montjeu and he gets a confident vote.
