6.05 Tipperary - Oodachee - place lay
Oodachee is entering the twilight of his career now and looked on the downgrade in 2009/10, his best effort coming when fifth in the Topham (over the National fences) at Aintree, a race in which he has a good record. His two efforts over timber that term, both in minor events, were even less encouraging, and in a contest where there are plenty of viable alternatives, he looks solid place lay material.
6.40 Tipperary - King of Redfield - Back win and place
This staying handicap looks strong on numbers rather than well-treated sorts and King of Redfield rather stands out as a result. Not long with this yard, he shaped with plenty of promise when fourth at Limerick last month, keeping on well having been left with a bit to do, and was then yet to be asked for his effort when parting company with his rider 4 out at Punchestown. Able to race off the same mark today, he looks a sound bet at the forecast prices.
7.45 Tipperary - Strongpoint - Back
Strongpoint has taken a while to find his feet but, having rounded off 2009/10 with success in a Musselburgh Handicap Hurdle, he showed his potential in this sphere at Kilbeggan nearly 6 months later. Sent off 2/1 favourite that day, he had the race at his mercy when falling 2 out, and should make amends in a contest which looks no stronger, his main rival on form, Forjoetheplumber, having his first run since last autumn.
