"The Paddy Power Chase is as competitive a race as ever but two that look well worth an interest at biggish prices are Oscar Time and Hold The Pin."

Limerick 1:05 - Win Lay - Quadrillon

Quadrillon was workmanlike rather than impressive on his hurdling debut at Cork, in a race that isn't working out particularly well, and has more on his plate if he is to follow up here. He looks a 3m chaser in the making so this track may not play to his strengths and both Magnanimity and Rubi Light look capable of exposing any chinks in his armour at this trip.

Leopardstown 1:55 - Win Lay - Some Present

Some Present doesn't have Dunguib to contend with this time but there is no getting away from the fact that he is vulnerable at this trip so is worth taking on at a short price. Sweeps Hill, who for whatever reason didn't give his running in the Royal Bond last time, beat Some Present, albeit in a falsely-run race, at Punchestown in October and is worthy of another chance whilst Luska Lad, Judge Roy Bean and Fionnegas are others with strong claims.

Leopardstown 3:05 - Win and Place Back - Oscar Time, Hold The Pin

The Paddy Power Chase is as competitive a race as ever but two that look well worth an interest at biggish prices are Oscar Time and Hold The Pin. Oscar Time warmed up for this with a very good third to Chicago Grey, a winner again since, in a 2m conditions hurdle at Thurles last month and gets in here with a lovely racing weight of 10-3 on his back. Martin Lynch's charge only won once over fences last term but had a Grade 2 at his mercy at Limerick in April when he fell at the last and was in the frame on all of his other starts. Hold The Pinhas long since threatened to win a big handicap and came right back to his best when third to Beroni in the Troytown at Navan last time. He is only 1 lb higher here so looks set to run another big race if his jumping holds up.

Limerick 3:20 - Win Back - Sizing America

Sizing America would have won a bit easier at Punchestown last time out but for pecking badly at the second last and can defy a 7 lb penalty in Limerick's feature race, the Tim Duggan Memorial Chase. Henry de Bromhead's gelding lost his way a little towards the tail end of last season but had been very consistent in the early part of the season and is proven over this sort of trip.
