Paul Moon

I am 56 and married with two children. Born in Bath, England I emigrated to Australia at 16-years of age where I fell in love with sports and in particular horse racing, cricket and rugby.
I was involved in the cricket industry for most of my life where I met and worked with some wonderful people. Now retired and living in a beautiful village in South Wales, I spend my time betting and writing about it here on betting.betfair.com.
I speak Spanish and enjoy holidaying in Spain but despite being English I’d nominate Australia as my favourite country in the world and Sydney my favourite city.
I have been a Nottingham Forest supporter since 1959 when they beat Luton in the FA Cup Final with ten men. Unsurprisingly, my sporting idols are two fine servants of that great club - Brian Clough and Stuart Pearce.
I have been intrigued by the betting exchanges and spent a lot of time studying the vagaries of Betfair. I welcomed their arrival a few years ago and these days cannot imagine life without them.
My worse bet was backing against Peeping Fawn with Mandesha in the Nassau Stakes 2007 at Goodwood but my best winning bets were Nashwan (1989 Derby) and North Light (2004 Derby). Both paid for more trips to my beloved Australia.
