Celebrity Big Brother betting tips

"Alex spoke of his sadness at the current wars in the world - only to ruin it by claiming he could ease the problems by using his celebrity. HELLOOOOOO?"

Big news on the live newsfeed from Tuesday morning: "One of the housemates has a drink of water. Vinnie is moving around in bed trying to get comfortable."

We are now five days in to the latest edition of Celebrity Big Brother, and the movements in the market are perhaps more exciting than those activities in Vinnie's bed - although not quite
as animated as Jonas' - but more on him later.

Vinnie Jones was favourite on the off, and those who took the price of around [3.85] last weekend already have themselves a nice position, as he now trades at [2.80]. His exchanges with Alex Reid are the most entertaining during the first week, as long as it doesn't get too nasty - Vinnie could be alright. Alex clearly wants to be like Jones, and the ex-footballer begrudgingly admitted Jordan's squeeze was 'alright' on Monday's programme.

Having tipped up the Lock Stock star in my first instalment, I won't be going in again at that price. An interesting angle for the layers at around evens would be to take Jones on - he has after all threatened to walk out on two occasions - the latest threat in response to the arrival of chick peas and lentils. However, the sensible play maybe to get a bit of the stake back, and let him run.

Sisqo recently flirted with favouritsm recently, as double figures went down to [4.10]. That was too small (unlike a certain part of his anatomy), and the singer now trades at [5.90]. I think I have missed the boat with this as he looks really decent final three material, for which he is [1.70]. That would interest me more than an outright win. One thing that doesn't interest me is his singing. Was he really a performer? I'm told he was by people who know more about these things than me.

Alex is the fascinating one. His price is big at [18.00], his ego is big too. He won't win it, but I hope he stays in for a while as some of his nuggets are priceless and he does make me laugh. Last week he was convinced he could be the next James Bond (no market on that sadly). This week he spoke of his sadness at the current wars in the world - only to ruin it by claiming he could ease the problems by using his celebrity. HELLOOOOOO? And finally his fight with a snowman, a great moment. The snowman by the way is ranked two places below Reid as a cage fighter, fight record W8 L 7.

The men are holding sway, and a male winner of CBB10 is there at [1.33].

We've got our first batch of contestants up for eviction this Friday. Katia [1.42], Heidi [3.8] and Lady Sovereign [16.00] are all in the firing line, and personally I wouldn't have been surprised if Katia was near the basement price. Is this not the worst possible human being ever?

Describing herself as a model/artist immediately put me off her (and that was before she entered the house), as did her laughing when she described the impact of her relationship with Ronnie Wood. Stephanie called her a taker, Vinnie hates her. I hate her.

The house romance with Jonas lasted for three days, she led him up the garden path then dumped him. She has cheated on her boyfriend and has the most annoying laugh. Is she not the best [1.42] shot ever? This will be the only time the words 'best' and 'Katia' will ever be used in the same sentence. She will be hated when she comes out.

Ivana Trump was the surprise entry into the house, and judging by her permanent facial expression, she looked surprised too. Her price of [55.00] is no surprise however. Porky Dane Bowers is a porky price at [26.00]. He has latched on to Vinnie Jones, and looks like a little lapdog alongside the actor. An alliance with Jones wouldn't be the worst thing in the world (unlike Another Level), and he looks the best value as a back-to-lay at the moment.

Stefanie Beacham has proved to be a wise old sage, and not wholly unattractive. She is [9.80] to win; there could be an opportunity to trade on her, but she looks best in the top female market at [2.62].

Suggested bets:
Back Cisqo in top three @ [1.70]
Back Stefanie Beacham in top female market @ [2.62]
Back Katia for first eviction @ [1.42]
Back-to-lay- Dane Bowers @ [26.00] and Stefanie Beacham @ [9.60] in winner market.
