Celebrity Big Brother betting and odds
Maxliu / 25 January 2010 Free Bet View Market
“Perhaps Vinnie should take a leaf from his acting career and be seen more, and heard less, if he wants to regain favouritism.”
Dane Bowers has become the fifth different Betfair favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother, and currently heads the betting at [3.25].
Bowers drifted to [46.0] on Betfair in the early stages of the programme, but his understated manner could be the route to victory according to Betfair punters.
In stark contrast, Vinnie Jones, as low as [1.5] last week (punters willing to risk £2 to win £1), is drifting in the market after last night's show saw him becoming increasingly cocksure regarding his popularity with viewers.
Perhaps, too cocksure, hence his lengthening odds.
Other one-time Betfair favourites include Jonas, Stephanie and Sisqo, the latter surprisingly evicted on Friday night.
Betfair spokesman Tony Calvin commented: "Dane has now become the fifth different favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother, and it appears that viewers are cooling on Vinnie, the dominant figure in the house who is now in danger of coming across as arrogant to viewers.
"Perhaps he should take a leaf from his acting career and be seen more, and heard less, if he is to regain favouritism."
Celebrity Big Brother 2010 Winner: Betfair Bet - 9-4 Dane Bowers, 11-4 Vinnie Jones, 4-1 Nicola Tappenden, [10.0] Alex Reid, [13.0] Stephanie Beacham, [15.0] Jonas Altberg, [50.0] Ivana Trump.
